I grew up in Texarkana, USA. I attended attended Texarkana College, Stephen F. Austin SU, and the University of Dallas to study history, music, dance sculpture art history, classical literature, and philosophy.
I currently live in Dallas, Texas where I teach Art Appreciation and Humanities at Dallas College. Creating with various disciplines continues to fuel a desire for a well-lived compassionate life.
I am a transitional and nonobjective artist inspired by ancient stories, folk art, and aesthetic objects. My drawings and paintings often include heroic, bucolic, comical, or absurd figures or compositions of basic Elements of Art with thin, assertive, and/or fun lines and vibrant colours in calm or empty spaces. These artworks often explore mythos, vacuity, leisure, freedom, tranquility, relationship roles, and the interconnection between the individual, society, and the environment.
